We were absolutely delighted to be asked to run a fascinator making class by the lovely Eilidh recently. She was organising her best friend’s hen party in the stunning High Wards Luxury Lodge in Alexandria. We arrived (after several “detours” i.e. totally lost – oops! Tomtom’s fault…) at lunchtime at the beautiful house to meet the lovely hens. The wedding colour theme was black watch tartan so we had tailored this class to the theme and had designed a number of fascinators and brooches made with black watch tartan fabric so that the girls could all make pieces to tie in to the theme of the big day.
There was a mix of crafting and sewing experience amongst the hens with some never having made anything in their life before whilst others were queen sewing bees, but everyone created a fantastic fascinator or brooch to be proud of!
It was a fantastic afternoon in a gorgeous location (which we would thoroughly recommend to other hen parties looking for accommodation in the Alexandria/Loch Lomond region!) and we can’t wait to do another hen party there in the future!
Here are some snaps of the fascinator making class hen party in action.
