Join us for an afternoon combining afternoon tea or champagne with a millinery workshop, run by our linked business, MADE Craft Parties.

Our fun fascinator making classes introduce you to the skills and techniques needed to create these beautiful accessories.  The aim of these workshops is for you to make your own unique fascinator or cocktail hat in a fun and informal group setting.  Fear not if you don’t think you have any creative skills in you – you’ll be instructed and guided through the creative process by  one of our experienced milliners who will be there to lend a helping hand whenever it’s needed.

Hen Parties, Birthday parties, Girlie Get-togethers!

A Fascinator Workshop makes a fabulous hen party theme, a birthday party activity, or simply as an idea for a girlie get-together with a group of friends.  If it’s a hen party, make your fascinator for the upcoming wedding to match your outfit, if you’re celebrating a birthday make a fascinator to wear for a birthday night out,  maybe you have a christening or other celebration that you’re attending soon and need a fascinator or hat for – this is the perfect way to get together and create your very own! The classes are also a great idea for antenatal groups – create something to make you feel a bit glamorous during your pregnancy!

Choose from our 3 hour Luxury Fascinator Making Class or our 2 hour Mini Fascinator Making Class or the fabulous floral crown making class. MADE Craft Parties do also run other craft classes such as bunting making, jewellery making and lingerie decorating if fascinator making isn’t your thing.

Tea, cake, bubbles, Yum!

To top this all off, you can opt to include a delicious afternoon tea or even some bubbles to make it a perfect girly heaven! Our venues all provide delicious tea, cakes and sandwiches to enjoy whilst you create. Contact us for a list of venues we use and their price list. Alternatively if you are having the workshop in your own home – enjoy some home baking whilst you create!

“I CAN’T SEW!!” – no problem!

The most frequent query we receive is “I can’t sew at all – is that going to be a problem?” No problem!  The classes cater for all abilities,  and we will guide you as to which designs are easier to make, so whether you’ve never threaded a needle in your life or you’re the creative queen of sewing,  we’ll ensure that  everyone in your group has a brilliant time and takes home a lovely hat or fascinator that they can be proud of.

Venues

Our Fascinator Workshops can be run in some beautiful Edinburgh and Glasgow based venues including gorgeous quirky tea houses, cool bistro cafes and luxury hotels.  In Edinburgh these include Hemma, Akva, The Howard Hotel, Cup Tearooms, the Voodoo Rooms, the Bonham Hotel, the Howard Hotel, Hotel du Vin and Norton House Hotel and in Glasgow the Corinthian Club, Blythswood Square, the Butterfly and Pig Tearooms, Hummingbird and the Hidden Lane Tearooms.   Contact us for further details.

Alternatively you can have your fascinator making party at a location of your own choosing whether it’s your own home or rented accommodation.  We’ve travelled far and wide across Scotland, from luxury loch side locations in the highlands to lovely rented farmhouses in the borders, so don’t hesitate to ask no matter where you’d like to hold your fascinator making workshop!

Materials

Each class will include access to a huge range of materials and decorative items such as beads, buttons, faux flowers, ribbon, lace, Swarovksi crystals, feathers, a range of fabrics, sinamay and more. You are also more than welcome to bring along your own materials if you have anything that you would like incorporated into your design – perhaps a vintage broach, jewellery or buttons that you love and want to re-use.  We are happy to try to cater for particular themed events – themed for a particular era, or a particular colour for example. We do need a minimum of 14 days notice of such special requests in order that we can ensure having the appropriate materials available on the day.

Each workshop does require a minimum of 8 people.  

Prices start from only £34.95 per person which includes all materials for making your own unique creation, instruction, photos of the class for you to keep, your finished product and a lovely gift bag to put your creation as well as a small gift.  The price of afternoon tea/bubbles/nibbles is in addition to this and will vary depending on the venue chosen.
